Metro Tech Camp

Participants will:
• critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

• Design authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use digital tools and resources to maximize active, deep learning.

• Explore and apply instructional design principles to create innovative digital learning environments that engage and support learning.

• Use technology to design and implement a variety of formative and summative assessments that accommodate learner needs, provide timely feedback to students and inform instruction.

Participants will complete an online breakout challenge by solving digital puzzles using articles, video and audio clues, and much more all the while watching out for the “red herrings” that will distract and lead them on a wild goose chase. They will “breakout” of the challenge and afterwards, learn how to create their own challenge using Google Forms with response validation. Only a teacher google account is required, no login is necessary for learners—making this a perfect online activity for students of all ages!
